Haven't played Super Bomberman R,but that has'nt stopped me from seeing everything the game has to offer.TR will stand for Translation in this description.
I saw a let's play with the game in portuguese, and boy, that translation is bad(compared to the english one). There's not only some incoherence here and there, but some of the names were changed and I laughed hard when I saw Magnet Bomber's name as changed to "Bombernético",which I guess would be bomber+magnético(TR:magnetic).
Why making up names instead of just translating them or keeping the english ones?
What's next? Plasma Bomber will be Bombermático(bomber+plasmático TR: plasmatic)?Or Phantom/Brain Bomber will be Bombergórico(bomber+fantasmagórico TR:ghostly)?
And then in gameplay his name was suddenly shortened to "Bombnético" and the giant robot boss after him "Iron Gauss" kept its english name. What?!
EDIT:Just watched the rest of the cutscenes. And curiously enough, the rest of the Dastardly Bombers kind of kept their names.Golem Bomber is Bomb Golem,Karaoke Bomber is Bomb Karaoke and so on.And Pretty Bomber was renamed "Bombonitinha"(Bomb+bonitinha TR:Cutey?),which also made me laugh.
